The great war
The Great War is a recent and grim reminder of what humanity is capable of. It lasted over five years, ultimately ending on November 9, 1919. The Central Powers, led by the German Empire, came out as victorious. The Entente was forced to surrender, it's people not willing to waste more lives for a pointless war. This victory asserted the German Empire as the new de-facto world leader.

changes in the map
The Great War's conclusion brought many changes to the world map. Germany's victory allowed it to expand it's influence and especially it's colonial empire.
Seen in the first image to the left is our wonderful Kingdom of Czar and the nobles which control it's territory. The second image shows an updated map of Europe. Europe, as seen here, has undergone many changes from it's pre-Great War look. Most notably, the Soviet Union and France. France has lost significant amounts of land to its north-west to Germany. The Soviet Union on the other hand, lost almost a third of it's population to a newly established puppet state. That puppet state being our kingdom. The former SSRs of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Belarus, and Finland have been taken from the clutches of communism. With the exception of Finland, all of these regions have been incorporated into our nation.
Other than Europe, Africa has seen the most drastic changes in the post-war world. Roughly half of former French Africa has been taken under German rule, as well as some Portuguese and Belgian colonies. Britain, notably, has barely been touched. Germany purposely let Britain keep most of their colonies in an effort to build future relations and keep them as a world player.
